Driftwind Book Marketing Photos

Driftwind is a collection of words, art, research and love. Coming from the minds of 14 unique people who all share in their connection to Utah. Many of my friends helped create this project. I have several photographs in this book, as well as two pieces of my own writing.

I was asked by the editors to take the marketing photos for this book, which would be sent out to bookshops, posted on social media, and sent to reviewers.

I went to Big Cottonwood Canyon in the late fall to capture the book among organic textures like fallen leaves, jagged granite and spindly shrubs. I used Portra 800 which performed ideally in the muggy fall mid-day, giving the photos a perfect balance between highlights and lowlights

I took some photos of the editors with the book outside the home where they edited most all of the book.

This was a special project for me and I am very pleased with how all of the photos turned out.
